As mobile applications were on the rise, Wrox contracted a group of four experienced enterprise software developers to publish Professional Cross-Platform Mobile Application Development in C#. The book equips software engineers with the tools necessary to write cross-platform mobile applications for the enterprise with out needing to learn a new programming language. The topics include an overview on the sea of change occurring within the enterprise, and what it means for developers. The book lays out the criteria for evaluating and selecting the best option for application architecture, reviews tools and techniques for setting up a cross-platform development environment, offers an introduction to the MonoCross open-source project and pattern for cross-platform development, and is packed full with specific software design patterns, development best practices, and sample code.
My contributions:
Under a publishing contract, I teamed up with three other senior engineers to outline, draft, and revise the 350 page book. I specifically wrote the book’s chapters 2, 5, and 9.
